Brass Monkey: The New Arcade

We’ve seen it before, arcades that originally looked like this now look like this. The rise of the console market and increases in the reliability of online gaming have rendered most arcades obsolete. Those that still exist often struggle to survive.

21st century arcade gaming is here

We believe Brass Monkey has the answer. Ask anyone what their favorite part of arcade gaming was; it was never the games themselves, it was the atmosphere. It was about the sticky floors, the dim lighting, the musty stench emanating from each brightly lit cabinet, and, most of all, the incomparable rush that came from obliterating your best friend’s high score.

Brass Monkey makes it easy to maintain leader-boards and challenge your friends, all while staying in the same room. The only difference: it’s quite a bit easier to whip out your smart phone than it is to go to an arcade.

If you felt a flutter in your chest during the arcade scene in TRON: Legacy, if you ever accidentally signed your name with your three-letter arcade handle, but mainly if you ever wish your favorite arcade had never closed down, you’ll love the simple, competitive, kick-your-best-friend’s-ass fun that Brass Monkey has to offer. Give it a shot, before long you’ll be inputting the Konami code just to see what happens. I know I did…

Don’t believe us? Brass Monkey is coming to a location near you. Specifically, we’ll be setting up at Tech Superpowers in Foxboro, MA (near Gillette Stadium). The first weekend in August, we’ll be having a party that’s open to the public. So bring your friends, try it out, and see how the future of arcade gaming is already in your pocket.
