Another week, another game. We know the Steam Summer Sale has been beating up your wallet a bit so we decided to release another free game! This week, we’re happy to announce the release of Lost Decade Games’ Onslaught! Arena.
Yea...it's pretty much as challenging as it looks
Onslaught! Arena is a fast-paced medieval fantasy shoot ‘em up which sports beautiful 2D pixel-art and excellent music. As a humble knight, you employ a variety of weapons and power-ups to defeat wave after wave of messed-up medieval creatures. The more you kill, the higher your score gets so expect competition amongst your friends. Best of all, the game supports save states so when you need a break on wave 40, you can take one.
Developed in 2010, Onslaught! Arena has already met with considerable success on iOS and Chrome. In fact, it was one of the first commercial HTML5 games on the market; it has been seen in Game Developer magazine and it won an award at GDC. We at Brass Monkey thought it would be a great fit for our platform so we ported it over.
With its main inspiration coming from classic shoot ‘em up titles, comparisons to greats like Smash TV and Gauntlet are not out of the question. Brass Monkey and Lost Decade Games are excited to contribute to the retro movement in gaming. Don’t believe me? Give Onslaught!
