This week Brass Monkey is pumped to announce the release of Megalithic Mayhem. Developed by Pod Design, this title features the music of AWOLNATION and the innovative claymation style of their “Not Your Fault” music video.
But Megalithic Mayhem is more than just a vehicle for great music; a side-scrolling beat ‘em up, the game lets you take control of any member of the band. Each character features unique weapons and special attacks. Battle aliens, yetis, reptilian…things, bomb-wielding penguins and samurai snowmen through a variety of environments.
Pod Design Founder Steve Curran said bringing the Megalithic Mayhem game to the Brass Monkey platform added a new dimension to the game. “The user experience of using a controller with your thumbs is the familiar and natural way to play a game of this type. Playing the game using Brass Monkey feels like playing the game on a console.”
Megalithic Mayhem is unique in its ability to blend fresh, new music with classic beat ‘em up gameplay that harkens back to River City Ransom and Streets of Rage 2. Toss in some cool art and animation and you’ve got a title you won’t want to put down.
