Brass Monkey named one of WIRED’s “Five Startups to Watch”

Good news everybody!

Brass Monkey is honored to have been selected by WIRED and the Marriott Culturazzi Series as one of Boston’s 2012 “Five Startups to Watch” along with LevelUp, Directr, PerkStreet Financial and Practically Green. A pretty awesome crop of people to be associated with, we think. You can check out their official announcement here.

This kind of recognition shows that people believe in our mission to create a new, better console option that gives people all of the fun and unusual controller options of a Wii and all of the sheer graphical capabilities of a PC, without making users buy a single new piece of hardware. We believe in ourselves, it’s nice to see that you believe in us too.

We will be attending a special, severely swanky Marriott Meetup: Five Startups to Watch gathering at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf Hotel from 6:30-9 P.M. where we will be demoing, carousing and hanging out with our peers and friends from the other startups and our CEO Chris Allen will be speaking on a panel run by Reddit Co-founder Alexis Ohanian. We’re really excited to meet all of those guys.

Oh, and to celebrate we have a little surprise for later today, nothing earth-shakingly huge, but definitely something you’ll get excited about. Check back then.
